Slam Dunk - Season: 1 / Episode: 002 - Go to Hell, Basketball! Hanamichi vs. Rukawa Rukawa, the object of Haruko's affection, runs into Hanamichi on the school roof. Seeing Rukawa as his rival, Hanamichi picks a fight with the top basketball prospect. Haruko witnesses the two fighting, and she yells "I hate you!" to Hanamichi, causing him to succumb to the biggest shock of his life. With his stress level mounting from the incident, Hanamichi gets into a dangerously escalating argument with the gorilla-faced captain of the basketball team, "Gori," a.k.a.
