Valkyrie comes from MGM and United Artists. As the the Nazi war machine swept across Europe during World War II, a group of high-ranking German officers hatched a plot to assassinate Chancellor Adolf Hitler, and seize control of the military to end the war. The Hitler assination plan was codenamed "Valkyrie." This plan failed when finally carried out on July 20, 1944. The conspirators of the inner circle were shot after a trial or sentenced to death soon after.
