This Namyi sacrifice to the ancestors ritual was done by the religious specialist, Han Heshang, at Luodu Gezu's grandfather's home in Mu'er Village, Lianhe Township, Mianning County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, PR China in February 2008. This ritual involved sacrificing to Luodu Gezu's deceased elders. Locally, this ritual is done once every two years by individual families. The 5,000 Namyi speak a Qiangic language, are classified as Tibetan, and mostly live in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, PR China. The film was made by Luode Gezu.
