In the last episode of the series, Strange and Jude investigate a possible murder following a grizzly discovery at the local swimming pool. Strange is visited by his old friend, Father Bernard who has been contacted by the police. Both Strange and Father Bernard, who was blinded by a demon to prevent Father Bernard from recognising the demon again, believe it to be the work of the demon Asmoth. Strange is worried to hear that Jude's nightmares have continued. In the latest her ex-boyfriend and demon, Rich, tells her that 'he is still here and he's hungry'. Strange believes that this is a reference to Asmoth. Following the discovery of the bones, Canon Black involves the police with a phone call to Inspector Stuart. Caught red handed holding some bloodied bones, Strange is arrested and taken to the police station to be questioned. When Father Bernard is viciously attacked at the monastery Strange is the only suspect. Back at Strange's house, all of the equipment is removed along with Toby's computers. At the police station Strange is questioned with his involvement in Helen's death probed once more. Father Bernard is brought into A&E and asks to see Jude. His situation is critical but he manages to write a Braille note to Jude. It simply reads 'Trap'. With Strange detained at the police station it is up to Jude to track down Asmoth. But all is not what it seems and yet again it appears as if Canon Black's involvement is central to the whole story.
