A Russian secret agent is murdered in mysterious circumstances, and leaves behind a message: a terrorist by the name of Hadid will attack Moscow in precisely 48 hours. Only one detail is missing: the location of the bomb. In a city of twenty million people, any public place could be a target, and secret agent Starshy and his team of special operatives are given the impossible mission of tracking down the bomb. Starshy's team are the best of the best: they have been chosen for skill and talent alone, despite their dubious backgrounds. Anna is a geek-girl who shocked the world by hacking into the Pentagon; Max is a former commando and Chechnya veteran who lives for the taste of adrenalin; Mole is a bomb expert who was blinded during a failed operation. But before the team has time to get down to business, a microchip is found on the body of the dead agent. It contains a chilling message: there is a traitor in your midst. With no time to disband the team, Starshy must find the bomb and the traitor before time runs out. As the team scour Moscow for possible targets, the terrorist calmly spins his web around them.
