ï bio BETELGEUSE:
Betelgeuse, a duet formed by JosÈ Antonio Serrano (Every No One / Noisome) and David Ortol‡ (Lontano), mixes all influences and musical components using wide sound pallettes and composing techniques, in the search of sound landscapes and disquieting sensations.
Their references go from Debussy to Venetian Snares, going through electro, concrete house or electroacoustic textures. Their style has been defined as "electronic abstraction pop collage".
JosÈ Antonio and David joined recently Chelis (Robot / El Meg·fono) to create Kontakte, a new label with Betelgeuse as umbrella band, where they bet for the different aspects on electronic music. There classic hints and pure noise come together. Their first maxi had even one remix track from DJ Rupture. On the following months, we will see out their first LP: "Silencio".
On their extrovert side, they have also remixed "M·s que una BendiciÛn" for Fangoria (Subterfuge, 2003) and "Load Cassette" for Aerobic Studio (Aerobic Studio, 2006). Betelgeuse did their first live in April 2005 on Festival Electro 2m5.
