Eve Vaughn, the daughter of the dean of St. Stephen's University and academic prodigy, has audited college classes since she was 8. Her father enforced this believing that the social elements of elementary, middle, and high school stunt a child's academic development. Upon the death of Eve's father a new dean--Charles Dean--takes charge devastating Eve's academic utopia. The new dean exacts his revenge upon Eve by giving her until the end of the school year to leave St. Stephen's.
