Yakkity's cute cousin Melvin is a big fan of Yakkity's comedy work but becomes his biggest rival when his cute looks and funny jokes arouse the attention of Yakkity's agent, Trilo. When Jasper's star rises, Yakkity's jealousy causes him to sabotage Jasper's big break. After yet another house-rattling laboratory explosion Granny Yak kicks Professor Crazyhair out. Seeing the Professor failing miserably living on his own, Yakkity does his best to get Granny to accept him back... without admitting it was he who caused the explosion in the first place!
