VFX-heavy music video for electronic duo DJ? Acucrack, vocals by Toni Halliday from the UK band Curve.
A glimpse in to the dark side of a near-future city, where sex has been automated and robotic mannequins sing like harpies from vandalized fetish shops.
This independently produced project from director Steven L. Wagner was a Visual Effects Society award winner for "best visual effects in a music video". It triumphed over elite (a.k.a. filthy rich) competition, including videos from Will Smith and Linkin Park.
VFX Supervisor Andrew Honacker and a small crew of multi-talented digital artists (including Talon Nightshade, Sean Capone, Vince Diga III, Jacob Hryniewicz, and Dan Bigelow) used a combination of 3D, miniatures, motion capture, and HD live action plates to achieve the photo-surrealistic look.
