This is an adaptation for the course Performing at the Edge, at the University of Amsterdam, 2006. Based on the poem by the russian poet Pushkin. This silent film shows titles of the original russian, as well as the english translation of the poem. Filmed on location in Amsterdam. The editing was mainly inspired by Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin and Godard.
