This movie is simply astonishing in its bizarity and is an absolute legend in cult film circles. The title 3 Dev Adam translates from the Turkish to "3 Mighty Men", but a more accurate title would be Santo and Captain America vs. Spiderman. The plot centers on the evil(?) Spiderman and his gang who are stealing priceless statues in Turkey. Santo and Captain America come to Turkey to put a stop to it. The Turkish versions of these three popular characters are quite different from what we are used to. Spiderman, aside from being evil, sports a large pair of bushy eyebrows that stick out of his face mask. He also doesn't have any spider powers and instead brandishes a switchblade for most of the film and wears black leather gloves. Captain America doesn't have his customary shield, smokes cigarettes, and doesn't mind changing into his costume (which looks like it was made by a three year old) in public. Santo is obviously not played by the real Santo. His hair (as opposed to the real Santo) actually sticks out from under his mask. The film has many interesting sequences. From the opening when Spiderman and his henchman bury a girl up to her head in sand and proceed to use the propeller of an outboard motor to kill her, to the end sequence where Santo and Captain America dispatch an endless amount of Spiderman clones only to have another pop up and shout, "Ha, ha, ha Americanos!". Also be on the lookout for a scene where Santo is doing some sleuthing in the evil gang's headquarters and he proceeds to stick everything he can find down the crotch of his skin tight wrestling trunks. I'll leave the scene with Spiderman, two gerbils, and a long plastic tube to your imagination. This film is a true cinematic oddity and must be seen to be believed.
