After three albums of "classics covers", Ekseption and Rick van der Linden in 1971 begun to rely more on their own material and released their breathtaking album 00.04. Make no mistake: the classics are there, beginning with Bach's Ave Maria. But then a more jazzy side of Ekseption takes over, leaving plenty of room not only for Rick v d Lindens intense keyboards, but also for Rein van der Broeks delicate trumpet as well as the others in the outfit. Later on the album Royal Philharmonic Orchestra joins them, and "the world naver became the same". This is a MUST HAVE for any one interested in early 70s symphonic rock. Mysteriously never released on CD, the music had to be published here. I offer 00.04 ripped from my old original vinyls with WireTap for iTunes. Enjoy!
