Panicked Chief Navigator accidentally pushes the fire button of 'St. Elmo's Cannons' (the parallel twin 'wave' (undulation) cannons). But they are not fully tested yet. The ship is covered with bluish flame called 'St. Elmo's Fire.' It causes heavy damages to the ship itself and the crew.
