In 2002 James Fogarty began to record a new album for his long suffering Ewigkeit project. James had been reading a lot, and had developed a mish mash spiritual philosophy on life in general based on books picked up in second hand music/book shops that stink of incense and are usually owned by old hippies.
Some of these books were "Steppenwolf" (Herman Hesse), "Iron John" (Robert Bly), "...And the Truth shall Set You Free" (David Icke), "The Mayan Prophecies" (M. Cotterell) and "The Teachings of Don Juan", "A Seperate Reality", "Tales of Power" and "Journey to Ixtlan" by Carlos Castaneda. There were more, but he cant remember them.
The album was recorded as a labor of love over many late drunken / stoned nights and groggy mornings. The result was an odd ambient metal album, a following absitinance from alcohol for 3 years and an enduring abstinance from cannabis (having become a nervous wreck).
The label who eventually released the album didnt pass on any of the reviews from the magazines, so we have no real record of those (apart from recollection of some positive words in The Village Voice of all places !)
