This is a tribute to the greatest of all time- Muhammad Ali. It is also a tribute to great radio stations like AFN, BBC and Radio Luxembourg.
Once upon a time- in Norway- I listened to the Ali fights on AM radio. Boxing was not allowed to be shown on norwegian TV in those days (only Albania and Norway I believe). Still we managed to pick up the fights and interviews from sources like American Forces Radio/BBC/Swedish Radio.
The quality of the recordings are so-so, as the russian radio all the time tried to interfere with the broadcasts from AFN.
And I wished Ali a good fight several times on Radio Luxembourg- the station of the stars!
