Our ‘Cupid’ played by one mister Jeff Crispi went the distance for the role. Being the hairy Italian man he is, Jeff shaved almost his entire body and received full body makeup to become the baby soft Cherub you see in the final piece.
The more ‘violent’ arrow hits were accomplished by rigging a harness and pulley to the bodies of the stunt actors and yanking them hard onto a mat at just the right moment.
Visual Effects were used to give the majority of the hits an extra ‘punch’ and paint out the arrow that was already attached to the actor just before the moment of impact.
The angel wings were attached to Jeff’s back with high grade medical adhesive originally designed to adhere colostomy bags to patients legs.
