Biography
East Texas native David “Dolo Dollaz” Thomas has emerged as one of the most electrifying upcoming artist from the unfamiliar region of Texas. Like many, Dolo’s family has a history of drugs, violence, and poverty however, with the aid of music he is consistently striving for success proving that hardships can be overcome with faith, hard work, and determination. As a kid, he started out doing amateur performances mimicking superstars like MC Hammer and Micheal Jackson, realizing he loved to be in front of a crowd. During his early teens he was influenced by rappers UGK, Scarface, DMX, and Jay-Z. Following graduation, Dolo moved from the small town of Mount Pleasant to Dallas, TX in pursuit of better opportunities.
After catching the attention of upcoming producer Tray Knox of Woodknock Production, he later received the name “Dolo” after a punch line uttered in his freestyle verse. Accompanied by his business partner Jerome (Six-five) Evans, the two founded BIG CASH ENTERTAINMENT in 2010. The independent label is presently releasing Dolo’s debut single “Thinking Bout Money” which is an anthem hoping to connect with anyone who’ve ever had dreams of one day becoming rich and successful.
