Paul Olsen, guitar and vocals, was not there due to a scheduling confict (or was he really in Norway working on Wikileaks as Mike told us...) Missed having Paul there, but it was still a lot of fun and great music.
During the introduction to "Kick Out The Jams" Mike is telling us how they were in their "Scrapomatic Clubhouse" wondering what would happen if James Brown covered MC5, and that they're going to give that a shot. Just before they kick it off, some guy in the audience yells "You guys smoke a lot of weed in the clubhouse". That's what the laughter is all about. Before the beginning of the last song Mike mentions that a manager standing in the wings is signaling him to "remind them to buy CD's". Mike flips him a nice long bird to everyone's delight and laughter and says "We're not into all that commerce...it's about the art", followed by: "actually though, please go buy a CD". That's not a bad idea!
