Ballbreaker formed in 2005 by Antonio Guerrieri (drums), Luigi Marinelli (acoustic guitar), Raffaele Fusco (guitars) and Angelo Fusco (vocals, bass guitar), musicians united by close friendship and long passion for music and all with previous musical experiences that led them to play immediately as "opening act" of Meganoidi and Monopolio di Stato.
Ballbreaker now denoted an alternative style: with this line-up they made a remarkable series of gigs, among which the participation in "Sacco and Vanzetti's Day" and "Tusiani's Day".
In August 2006, after the arrival of Michael Ruby on drums in place of Antonio Guerrieri (who had meanwhile joined the heavy metal band of Stonewall), Ballbreaker participated in the "Monterotaro Rock Festival".
The line-up changed again with the arrival of Matteo Colacchio (guitars).
In this period the band consolidated its own style, inspired by the sound of The Doors, Cream and Pink Floyd, with a dash of Italian underground style, gaining considerable experience of the stage due to the many concerts.
In the spring of 2008, after the entry into the line-up of Giuseppe Bissanti (keyboards), Ballbreaker created new songs, and the band participated in the festival "Torstock".
In August 2009 the band recorded its first song, "Mancanza di Respiro", elected in September as "Best New Album" by "Radio Studio A Network".
In November 2009 Ballbreaker participated in the semi-finals of "Sanremo Rock", recording a second track, "Invisibile", which became part of a self-produced demo with "Mancanza di Respiro".
In October 2010 Ballbreaker released another single, "Joya - L'Urlo nel Silenzio", which tells of the repression of freedom of thought and expression of women in Afghanistan.
In December 2010 the three tracks - completely remastered at "The White House Studio" - are merged in a mini-LP, "Ballbreaker" distributed over the Internet by the netlabel RUMORS RECORDS.
