On-site Featroller review:

A Crawfish Festival may describe your typical Sunday afternoon in Louisiana, but it only happens once a year
in New Jersey. What looked to be several thousand folks braved spectacular weather and ventured into the Jersey
Wilds to soak up sun, suds and Cajun grub. Feat closed the show and roused the crowd with a rip-roaring set
whose only shortcoming was its 90-minute limit. The highlight is Dixie Chicken featuring guest John Mooney,
a Louisiana-based slide player whose fine bluesy band preceded the Feat. He kicks off the solos following
the crowdpleasing Tennessee Jed with some slippery sliding reminiscent of Sonny Landreth. Then Paul takes over
and picks up the pace with his nasty lowdown slide. By the time it's Fred's turn it's pedals to the metal --
a blazing if compact guitar extravaganza. This show is well worth it for that alone.

But of course there's more. A problem with spread-out festival shows is that the sound tends to suck. So what a
treat to have a recording even better than the typical soundboard! Master Cafiero himself informs me that this
is indeed a matrix, though with the audience recording mixed in so minimally that it's barely there. Check it
out and see if you can tell -- maybe it's just the power of suggestion, but so what, it sounds f*#king fantastic.
