Coffee On Ice is a collection of personal favourites from a number of previous album releases. Mostly Rock and Blues/Rock numbers many of them come from personal experiences and have strong emotional attachment for me.
In particular, Victoria was written after a vacation in Australia, when the Victorian bush fires of early 2009 swept through the countryside I had just been visiting, killing hundreds of people and destroying thousands of square miles of land.
Summer Breeze, Weekend Cruise and Summersun all have a 'feelgood' attitude with references to lakes, oceans and sailing, all past passions of mine. My love of a good coffee is of course summed up in the title track.
Finally, I would like to thank my good friend Andy Bell for putting the lead guitar on 'Messin with my Baby' for me at a jam session one night. Nice lead Andy, something I could not have done myself. And for the record...... This one is NOT from personal experience but I have included it as It was first song I ever wrote.
