Straight outta Murda City (Detroit), Young Godd has pushed forward with a movement that this game has been missing. The captain of the Pokaface Sharx, Young G has commanded respect from both the streets and the industry. From D.C. to Jersey City, Detroit to Chicago, Young has shown us a new day for hip-hop.
The Movement
Currently residing in Gangsta City (Chicago), Young Godd has been devising a movement to give the industry the dawn of a new day. His motivation comes not from the lust for the money, cars, and bitches, but from his belief of the culture. Repping the self-dubbed "Midwest Coast" is one of the biggest challenges that Young G has put on his shoulders. Aside from Kanye West, Eminem, R. Kelly, Nelly, Twista, and a few other artists, the Midwest had not contributed alot to the hip-hop community until now!!!
"My plans are different from other artists that have emerged from the Midwest. My movement is focused on not only showing the world what the Midwest Coast is about, but to combine forces with other talented hip-hop and R&B artists from the area. New York and the West Coast have always had their's. Down South broke ground and they're definately doin their thing from Miami to Texas they got it poppin'. The time is now for the Midwest Coast to stand up and showcase OUR talent!" -Young Godd

Currently, Young G is smashing the booth finishing a new mixtape for the streets in '06 including the bangers Gangsta Music and Nobody Knows. Also in the works is the new LP that is so hot he's been keeping it under wraps. His clique, Pokaface Sharx, is in the studio as well working on their new project. The Sharx are putting venues and dates together in the Midwest and East Coast with their Independent label MadMan Entertainment (Jersey City,NJ) to promote their movement. BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THE SHARX IN DA WATER!!!
