There's not much to say that's already said on the Youtube versions of the songs. This is pretty much a glorified demo, so if these songs are properly recorded, there might be some changes in arrangement, and I'm the songs would sound better performed with real instruments. There's no vocals, although lyrics have been penned for the song "John Wants More Of My Cosmic Burrito".
Trying to pin down what this sounds like is simply not a good idea, although there is some "extreme metal" influence in there. Perhaps, an insane man could pin down some Immortal influence, identify a Mekong Delta-esque passage there, claim one bit sounds like Suffocation. On the other hand, music theorist would agree with me if I said 20th century western classical music influenced "Pentagons Falling Off A Cliff". I originally intended "You Drowned In Your Own Fingers" to be a doom metal song, but as listening will show, that idea was trashed. "John wants More of My Cosmic Burrito" has been expanded slightly from when I first wrote it. Other songs tend to lack amusing trivia, although "Die Unglaüblich" shows a slight change in my approach to bass lines.
I could suggest that my compositional methods often involve throwing a lot of seemingly-unrelated material at the listener in the beginning and the middle of the song, then tying it together while quoting phrases/riffs from earlier on, although it's not the only thing I do. You might see a development
I should probably thank my parents for deciding I should take piano lessons, and sealing my fate as a musician. Got exposed to a lot of classical music and jazz as a result of it. I'd also like to thank the band Polysics for generally being awesome, and helping me discover stuff - if you like wasting time with chains of cause and effect, it all starts with the old PC game "Populous: The Beginning" and lead me through retrogaming, to making fun of retrogaming, to extremely bizarre movies, which finally lead to Polysics in my sophomore year of highschool. From the pure musicological perspective, Polysics then lead me through a series of '80s New Wave and punk rock bands, which eventually lead somehow to King Crimson, whom I wanted to hear music similar to but "heavier" Then I realized King Crimson was inimitatable, but was musically (metallically) enriched for it. And now I have a very heavy metal based diet, with a taste for "progressive extreme metal" bands like Emperor, Death, Meshuggah, and other stuff.
