And once again I want to say "thank you" - so much! My first set of classical pieces met such a surprising response and achieved so many encouraging reviews, I was stunned. But not too long... ;-) ... and then I sat down and recorded another six pieces from Bach...
A note of warning to all the connoisseurs and purists: I do ignore musical scores and habits. My only guide line are the feelings triggered by a piece. Some of those little tunes are played in a meditative temper and are accordingly slow...
The first track is a somewhat well-known piece of Bach. The D minor prelude BWV 999, originally written for lute, is a showpiece for many guitarists. Just like the C major prelude I released on Set I it's a kind of harmonic study or etude consisting of running through fractured chords.
The following five pieces are from the second "Notenbüchlein für Anna Magdalena Bach". These are music books compiled by Bach and his wife Anna Magdalena. By listening to these pieces, you may get a glimpse of what has been family music in the early 18th century.
