This is a collection of tracks which were all programmed, recorded and mixed during October 2008 until January 2010.
Most of the tracks were created entirely on a programming basis, without any music instrument, but with a special programming language, which allows to define instruments on a purely algorithmic basis, then define tones and sequences by writing down which note to be played at a particular moment of time. (The vocals, of course, were still recorded separately the usual way, i.e. via microphone, and were then integrated like “samples”.) Tracks like “Mad Song" and „Tanzen nach Zahlen“, however, were created using hardware synthesizers & sequencers. The track “Dark Room" features both programmed sounds and ordinary synthesizers.
The album title is a bit of “semi-parody”: None of these tracks will probably have the chance to conquer the dancefloor of any discotheque. Nevertheless, the music is much more based upon bass-sequences and drum patterns than any other track that Die with Dignity have previously issued via Jamendo (not counted the collaboration with Lenja, of course). And the algorithmic basis allowed me to define far more complex sequence patterns than any ordinary hardware sequencer would offer.
As usual: Any feedback highly welcome.
