These songs are all from the time of 4-track cassette processed through my more recent equipment to make them available. Mostly guitar based rock with some keybords.
They are from a period that began with a new relationship ( Diamond ) to the time we left a particular home ( Eclipse ).
It was all new to learn then, the songwriting and recording. The instruments available at the time included electric and acoustic guitars, a synth and a drum machine: briefly there was a bass but I didn't get on with it too well. All these songs were recorded with those instruments plus my voice.
Some of the lyrics sound a little narrow compared to recent efforts but then where's the fun or the change and growth that we're all supposed to experience.
Recording without any processors as these songs were meant a lot of live volume adjustments and it's difficult to let the vocals stand audibly forward. Nevertheless some still have enjoyably lyical lines against heavy guitars.
