Hood Superstar - ReP feat. Em Snugg, Yung Texxus (HOTTEST SONG OUT TRUST!!!)
Artist Overview
Born Adrian Sandy, ReP used music to cope with the loss of his mother at an early age. Learning music from an uncle establishing himself as an upcoming entertainer, and with two brothers submerged in the hip and reggae scene as DJ’s, music quickly became a major influence in his life. Rhyming since the age of 12, ReP has developed a unique sound for himself. His style of music brings a necessary essence back to hip hop; fusing passion with real life relevance, through a combination of cadence, swagger and substance from the mouth of a true artist.
After the release of his freshman video “Time Waits” in the fall 2001, ReP has since been featured in Don Diva’s DVD Magazine D3, Southwest Ent. Newspaper, various mix tapes (including “New Jack Kingz” Vol.1 hosted by DJ Mello, Jigga City’s “Pills & Drink”, and “Can You Hear Me Now” Produced by Dope House Studio & Family Ties Ent.), and has also extending his hand into the publishing department launching Pimpin’ My Pen, Inc in the Spring of ’07.
ReP’s latest promotional single titled Hood Superstar is a collaboration with artist Yung Texxus (award winner at 2009 SEA’s and SCG CEO). This high energy track is produced by and also features Chicago’s Em Snugg of Loc Bloc, producer for Bloc Exchange and 4i's of Ludacris's Disturbing Tha Peace camp. Hood Superstar is an underground anthem, roaring in the south and catching fire along the east coast. This song is a true testament to a go-getter motivation. It also speaks on the trials, tribulations, and aspirations of those that make it and the elements that often consume many.
