I was frustrated with my poorly-heated, poorly-lit apartment life-style, so to break out of my creative rut, I just started working on weird, atmospheric soundscape type stuff. It was a departure from my more melodic prior work, but it was also a complete blast to make.
Most of this is actually effected and stretched layers of one synth, the Roland Juno 6. Some of it contains snippets of other stuff, including a Nintendo DS Lite (pink) running a Korg DS-10 cartridge, and a theremin.
I also sampled my cats meowing in excitment for, and then eating, wet cat food. My vet put them both on an all-wet diet, so they are no longer particularly excited by the prospect of wet cat food.
