A very beautiful debut album from sicilian singer and composer Nicola Randone. Many years have been going since he played with metal band Grey Owl and it's clear listening to "Morte di un amore". Since from the opener "Visioni" I realize of the great importance Nicola gave to the lyrics, always full of deep messages. I think to have payed attention to lyrics so much only listening Fabrizio De andre' songs. Lyrics doesn't surround music only but are the main character, because Nicola is a really inspired poet of social themes, of life and love. "La Giostra" is probably the most inspired song from this point of view and here he strenghtly got angry with Nazism horror: Hitler and Churchill voices at the beginning are really impressive. Don't worry, Nicola's work is not only lyrics but also good music and high-skilled performance: musically my favourite tracks are certainly the above-mentioned "La giostra", "Tutte le mie stelle", "Amore bianco" and the most progressive song "Un cieco". His music can be described as a clever mixture between synphonic prog, classic rock with some reggae influences ("Il pentimento di Dio"). "Morte di un amore" is an album to listen both with senses and brain. Well done Nicola !
