Pokémon Ruby, along with Pokémon Sapphire and Emerald, is part of the third-generation Pokémon games, after Pokémon Gold and Silver. Noticeable differences include the graphics and interface, Pokémon abilities, and the running shoes that allow the player to move around in the outside overworld very fast, before getting the bike.\n

FractalFusion and GoddessMaria complete this run in a mere 1:31:45, 3 minutes and 22 seconds faster than the previous Pokemon Sapphire run. Instead of using Machop/Machoke, this run now uses Taillow/Swellow, which is obtained far earlier in the game, also has Guts as an ability, and has powerful moves early on and throughout.
