The legitimacy of the modern Roman Catholic Church and its
claim to be the "one true faith" rests upon one central
doctrine; and that is the belief in "Apostolic Succession".
This doctrine, which has been promoted by the Vatican for
many centuries now, claims that the Apostle Peter traveled
to Rome, where he became the first pope -- or Bishop of
Rome -- during the First Century. The doctrine of Apostolic
Succession further claims that from the Apostle Peter until
now, the Roman Catholic Church has had an unbroken line of
popes, thus making it the one and only true Church that was
founded by Jesus Christ almost 2,000 years ago. But is there
really any truth to this doctrine, or is it merely a lie and
a deception created by the Roman Catholic Church? This four
part series will shed Scriptural light on this important
issue. Please be advised that if you are a hard core Roman
Catholic, you may possibly find portions of this series
